Dr. Zipporah Pewat Duguryil

Zipporah Pewat Duguryil holds a PhD in science education, and is presently a lecturer with Federal College of Education Pankshin now University of Education Pankshin; She is currently the Director Tetfund Centre of Excellence for Innovative Teaching and learning in Primary and Early Childhood Education (T_CEIPEC), a former head of Chemistry department, and also a former member of the Governing Council as well as a member of the college research committee, Federal College of Education Pankshin. She has over 30 years of teaching and research experience working with students at NCE, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is a facilitator and post graduate project supervisor as well as a seminar leader with the open university of Nigeria. She is also a resource person and consultant to CCDP/ Bread for the world Germany. Four times, she participated in the accreditation of NCE science courses for NCCE Abuja. She is the secretary of Pancen Journal of Education (PAJE), a journal publication of the Federal College of Education Pankshin. Along her research team, she has won and directly managed grants for educational and development purposes from: Youth services America, Engineering Information Foundation, USA( twice), United Nations Women Guild, Embassy of the United States of America in Nigeria, Tetfund Institution Based Research grant. She won best poster presentation from Nigerian Academy of science conference 2024, received a letter of commendation for research excellence from Federal College of Education Pankshin, and received the university of Jos best scholar award in Chemistry/Education in 1996. She was also the best graduating student in Education in the College of Education, Gindiri in 1991.
With research interest in pedagogical mentoring and effective STEM teaching at Primary and Early Childhood Education, she has published over 37 articles in both national and international journals. With a PhD in science education, Zipporah Pewat Duguryil is currently a lecturer at Federal College of Education Pankshin, which is now known as the University of Education Pankshin. Dr. Sunday Jacob was born in Wamba, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He attended RCM Primary School Wamba, Government Teachers College Dengi, A.T.C/A.B.U Kano, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, University of Jos and Southwest University, Beibei, Chongqing, China where he obtained various qualifications to PhD level in 2008.
Dr Jacob is a development and professional teacher with experiences of over 30 years in basic and tertiary levels of education in Nigeria. He has been teaching in Federal College of Education Pankshin now Federal University of Education Pankshin since 1989 (became a Chief Lecturer in 2007) and a visiting Senior Lecturer with the University of Jos since 2014. He is a Resource Person/Consultant to Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria Educational Research Development Council, National Commission for Colleges of Education, Universal Basic Education Council, States Universal Basic Education Boards, UNICEF, and World Bank.

He has also won many academic awards like Southwest University Chongqing award in 2006, Chongqing Mayor Merit Award in April 2007 and Chinese Government Distinguished International Scholarship awarded by China Scholarship Council, July 2007. Also, he has won many Research Grants most recent is the 2021 National Research Grant by TETFund as the Principal Researcher. Dr. Fidelis Onyebu Ugwuanyi, is a Chief Lecturer in the department of Computer Science at the Federal College of Education, Pankshin in Plateau State, Nigeria. He was born at Ibeku – Opi in Nsukka Local Government of Enugu State on the 1st day of June, 1972. He was employed in 2022 as an Assistant Lecturer and progressed to Chief Lecturer in 2020. He attended Community Primary School, Opi Uno from 1978 to 1984, Community Secondary School, Ozalla, Igbo – Etiti from 1984 t0 1990, University of Nigeria Nsukka, from 1995 to 1999, University of Jos from 2005 to 2006, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki from 2008 to 2012, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State from 2014 to 2019. Dr. Obadiah Dalong

Dr Obadiah Mwoltok Dalong was born on the 30th of December, 1970 at Timjahas village of Kerang District, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau state. He had his primary education at LGED Timjahas Kerang from 1977-1983. He then proceeded to Mwaghavul Community Secondary School Kerang, where he obtained the General Certificate in Education (GCE) in 1988. Between 1989 and 1992, He was at the College of Education Akwanga, where he read and obtained the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Mathematics and Economics.
As a scholar, Dr Dalong was not satiated with his attainments, He then proceeded to the University of Jos, the most Prestigious Citadel of learning where he bagged (BSCED) in Economics Education in 1996. He returned back to this Prestigious University from 2000-2004 and did a Post graduate study and obtained (MED) in Test, Measurement and Evaluation. As an accomplished academic, from 2012-2015 he proceeded to Nasarawa State University Keffi for his Doctor of Philosophy in Test, Measurement and Evaluation. As one whose academic jenesaiquoi cannot be questioned, He worked relentlessly and within the period of three years, he was able to obtain his PhD. In line with global trends, he has a Certificate in Computer as well did an advanced Digital Appreciation Programme.
Dr Dalong who today is a Principal Lecturer and had served as Head of Psychology Department in the School of Education, Member Tetfund Centre of Excellence, Federal College of Education Pankshin, has worked with different higher institutions, some of which include : Instructional/Tutorial Facilitator and Project Supervisor with the National Open University Jos Study Centre, Polytechnic Calabar, College of Education Gindiri, Plateau state Polytechnic and coordinator, Gboko Polytechnic, Kerang Liason Centre. He lectures research methods, statistics, test and measurement in Psychology Department, FCE Pankshin. He has supervised and graduated many NCE, Undergraduate and five (5) Masters Students. He is also appointed as College Desk Officer and State Coordinator of Cambridge & IPC Nigeria Psychometrics 2020 to date.
As the golden Fish that has no hiding place, the research endeavours of Dr Dalong are quite accentuating and glaring. He attended 42 Conferences, and has to his credit 45 Publications in Local, National and International reputable journals. He is an author and co-author in 13 Published Textbooks, and 8 Chapter Contributions in Textbooks.
Dr. Dalong has achieved numerous academic awards. He won three academic prizes: Third Best position in 2020 Edition of Lecturer’s Face Reading Competition in Nigeria by Stand Tall Africa Initiative 2020, Second Best Graduating Student Theological Education by Extension (TEE) 2017 and Overall Best Graduating Student MCSS Kerang 1988. Also, won two TetFund Institution Based Research (IBR): Evaluation of Science Teachers’ Qualification and Knowledge in Test Construction Procedures at Senior Secondary Education Level in Plateau State, Nigeria and The Impact of Whole School Model in Addressing Persistent Decline in Numeracy Knowledge among Primary School Pupils in Plateau State, Nigeria.
Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, Dr Dalong is not only an astute Scholar, but a revered community Man and elder as well. He has served the Mwaghavul nation and the church in different capacities. He has held different positions in the National Association of Mwaghavul Students (NAMS), Mwaghavul Youth Movement (MYM) and the National body of the Mwaghavul Development Association (MDA). As a Lover of God and Jesus Christ, Dr Dalong has served elder and as well chaired different committees in the church.
As a believer in Edmun Burke’s Philosophy, that “whoever does not participate in politics will end up been governed by idiots”, Dr Dalong is political mentor to most politicians within his constituency, and as a mark of honour to him, he was appointed as a member of the PDP Directorate of Research and Documentation Campaign Council Plateau state. His articulate and well informed ideas contributed to the victory of the party in Plateau state.
The sojourn of Dr Dalong cannot be exhausted by Ink and Paper. He is happily married and blessed with five children to the glory of God. -

Mrs. Deborah Nanribet Mangset was born in Mangu, Plateau State, Nigeria. She attended St. Jarlath’s Primary School Bukuru, Gindiri Teachers College Gindiri, College of Education Akwanga, Nassarawa state and University of Jos Nigeria. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education (Learning Disabilities).
Mrs. Deborah Nanribet Mangset has been a teacher from 1982 at Nursery (Early Childhood Education), Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels to date. She is a dedicated professional teacher with a proven track record of implementing innovative teaching strategies that have significantly increased students engagements and academic performance especially at the early childhood and among children with specific learning disabilities.
Mrs. Deborah N. Mangset is a dedicated resourceful and goal driven professional special educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child specifically those with special needs.
