Strategic Partnership with British Council Delivers Digital Literacy Training

In a landmark collaboration, T_CEIPEC partnered with the British Council and Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PSUBEB) to deliver the inaugural STRIDE (Stimulating Teacher Resourcefulness in Digital Education) training program for in-service teachers. This comprehensive initiative marked a significant milestone in the Centre’s commitment to addressing the digital skills gap among Nigerian educators.

The four-day intensive training brought together 40 staff members from FCE Pankshin, 450 in-service teachers from across Plateau State, and 10 supervisors from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). Participants engaged with the British Council’s innovative three-pronged approach focusing on pedagogy enhancement, effective technology integration, and the delivery of blended and purely online teaching methodologies.

The training equipped educators with practical skills in leveraging digital tools for enhanced classroom engagement, content delivery, and student assessment. This partnership not only fulfilled the Centre’s mandate of capacity development but also positioned Plateau State as a leader in digital education transformation, with participating teachers becoming champions of technology-enhanced learning in their respective schools.
