PUBLIC PRESENTATION AND DEFENCE OF BASELINE SURVEY PROPOSALS HELD ON 17TH AND 18TH NOVEMBER, 2022
Dr. Zipporah P. Duguryil, the Centre director welcomed all members present and gave a brief overview about T_CEIPEC. She informed attendees about previous outings and activities the Centre had been engaged in, such as the Digital and Literacy Training held in collaboration with Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (P-SUBEB) and the British Council among others.
The director concluded her remark by informing all in attendance that the purpose of the Baseline survey was to enable T_CEIPEC embark on research based interventions in line with the Centre's identified national challenges as well as closing the gap between researchers and the users of research-output, by stimulating and strengthening the quadruple-helix relationship to increase the likelihood of research being used by institutions and industries.
The Provost of the College Dr. Amos Bulus Cirfat who was Chairman of the occasion, congratulated the Centre Management and members of the Technical advisory Committee for the progress and achievements made at the Centre thus far. He expressed satisfaction with the research drive and impact the Centre was achieving within the College.
The Provost encouraged staff of the institution to key into subsequent research and training activities of the Centre.
The Programme of event had 25 scheduled baseline survey proposal submissions which were presented and responded to by the Centre researchers and attendees at the public presentation. The presentation started with the baseline research proposal titled Analysis of deficiencies in curriculum implementation and monitoring for primary education in Nigeria which was presented by Mr. Daniel Bingel, on behalf of the research team. The first presentation was followed by the proposal titled Assessment of Environmental Quality of Public Early Childhood Care, Development and Education Centres: A Plateau State Context which was presented by Mr. Nathanael Tanko Noah. Dr. Mrs Zipporah Duguryil gave the response to the first proposal while the second was responded to by Dr. Sunday Jacob. The 25 baseline proposals presented during the public presentation are;
