Centre Presents Baseline Survey Proposals to Address National Education Challenges

T_CEIPEC demonstrated its commitment to evidence-based educational interventions by conducting and presenting comprehensive baseline surveys focused on identified national challenges in Primary and Early Childhood Education. The two-day public presentation and defense session brought together researchers, educators, and stakeholders to critically examine proposed research methodologies and intervention strategies.

Of the 25 baseline survey proposals presented, each underwent rigorous scrutiny and constructive feedback from Centre researchers and attendees. The collaborative review process ensured methodological soundness and practical applicability of the proposed research. Following the presentations, 15 proposals were selected for pilot testing, representing diverse areas of concern in primary and early childhood education including pedagogical practices, curriculum implementation, teacher competencies, and learning outcomes.

The baseline surveys have since provided crucial data that informs the Centre’s training programs, curriculum development initiatives, and policy recommendations. This evidence-based approach ensures that T_CEIPEC’s interventions are grounded in empirical research and responsive to the actual needs of Nigerian primary and early childhood education.
