A New Chapter for FUEP — and a Season of Opportunity for T_CEIPEC

The Federal University of Education, Pankshin has entered a new and exciting era with the inauguration of Professor Noel Wannang as substantive Vice Chancellor — and at T_CEIPEC, we welcome this development with great optimism and a renewed sense of purpose.

Prof. Wannang was inaugurated at the university auditorium by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Dr. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, in a ceremony that signalled not just a change in leadership, but a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to academic excellence and impact.

Why This Matters for T_CEIPEC

As a Centre of Excellence dedicated to innovative practices in Early Childhood Education, T_CEIPEC exists at the very heart of FUEP’s core mandate — teacher training and the building of educational leaders. The Pro-Chancellor noted that the inauguration marks a new commitment to knowledge transformation and the preparation of the university for profound academic excellence through teachers’ training. These are values T_CEIPEC has championed since its establishment, and we see in the new Vice Chancellor’s arrival a strong alignment with our work.

Dr. Olumoko tasked Prof. Wannang with ensuring the university becomes a custodian of academic integrity in teaching, research, and innovation — a charge that resonates deeply with our Centre’s ongoing programmes, research publications, community outreach, and capacity-building initiatives.

A Scholar and Administrator of Proven Record

According to the Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Wannang has over the years demonstrated exceptional dedication to teaching, research, and service, with academic credentials, leadership experience, and contributions to teacher education and educational policy that speak of a career marked by excellence and impact. For a Centre like ours — one that bridges research and practice in early childhood education — this is exactly the kind of leadership we need at the helm of our institution.

Looking Ahead

T_CEIPEC looks forward to deepened institutional support, greater visibility for early childhood education research, and new collaborative opportunities under this administration. We believe that Prof. Wannang’s tenure will open doors — for our centre, our faculty, and most importantly, for the children and communities our work ultimately serves.

We congratulate the Vice Chancellor on his appointment and assure him of T_CEIPEC’s full cooperation and commitment to the growth and reputation of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin. Here’s to a season of innovation, excellence, and lasting impact
