Preparing Educators for the Future of Learning

T_CEIPEC’s 21st Century Skills programme is designed to equip primary and early childhood educators with the competencies required to thrive in — and effectively teach within — a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world. The programme recognises that transforming education in Nigeria begins with transforming the educator.

Participants engage with contemporary pedagogical frameworks covering critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration — the foundational ‘4Cs’ of 21st-century education. Training sessions blend theoretical grounding with practical classroom application, ensuring that teachers leave not only informed but equipped to immediately implement what they have learned.

Through a structured series of workshops, peer learning activities, and guided reflection, educators develop skills in learner-centred instruction, inclusive pedagogy, and adaptive teaching strategies suited to diverse classroom environments, including under-resourced settings across Nigeria.

The programme is delivered in alignment with T_CEIPEC’s broader mandate under TETFund to raise the quality of teaching and learning in primary and early childhood education, and contributes directly to national goals for basic education improvement.
