Partnerships & Collaborations

T_CEIPEC has established strategic partnerships with national and international organizations to enhance its capacity to deliver world-class training, research, and innovation in Primary and Early Childhood Education.

Partnership with British Council

As part of its mandate and in line with meeting its aims and objectives, T_CEIPEC, Federal University of Education, Pankshin in collaboration with British Council and the Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PSUBEB) delivered Digital literacy training to 40 Staff of the University, 450 in-service Teachers from PSUBEB and 10 Supervisors from NCCE and TRCN. The partnership with British Council availed the Centre an opportunity to key into the developed three-prong approach by the British Council towards building teachers’ ability in the key areas of pedagogy and the principal use of technology to deliver blended and purely online teaching. The training enabled the Centre to deliver on its mandate and also impact the Plateau State community in the area of capacity development and promoting the growth and development of education and economic activities in the state.

The TETFund Centre of Excellence, Federal University of Education, Pankshin in collaboration with British Council trained the first group of students in Nigeria to participate in digital literacy training and certification workshop on “Stimulating Teachers’ Resourcefulness in Digital Education” STRIDE, which took place at the twin 200 capacity computer laboratories of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, from 16th to 17th July 2024. The primary aim of the STRIDE training was to enhance the skills of pre-service teachers by providing them with digital strategies for effective integration of ICT into their teaching practices.

Partnership with Early Childhood Development Initiative (ECDI)

Successful collaborations of the Centre with the Early Childhood Development Initiative (ECDI) resulted in the donation of books in large quantities towards enriching the Early Childhood Care Education Department Library of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin which has been renovated and furnished by the Centre as part of its infrastructural improvement Disbursement Linked Indicator.

Additional Partnerships

The Centre is eager to achieve even more successes through its partnerships with national and international organizations, including British Council, American Council of Training and Development (ACTD), UNICEF, ECDI, UBEC, NCCE, TRCN, NERDC, and the Federal Ministry of Education. This has been demonstrated through courtesy visits that the Centre has made to several of its partners towards building stronger relationships and establishing more areas for collaborations which are aimed at positively impacting the Primary and Early Childhood Education Sector in Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, and beyond, extending to the entire country, Africa, and globally.
